Help With My Robot
I got a Vex Explorer robot for Christmas and was instantly disappointed with the speed of the robot. I have now added the motor from my RC car as the back wheels, problem is that the wheels only run in unison so i can't use three wheels and turn. I need some ideas on how to make this thing turn. The gears are useless.

Well thanks but i decided to rip out the motor and attach it to a single wheel. Cept my microcontroller is messed up. But thats a different subject.

So you're saying the wheels driven by the RC motor rotate the same, resulting is straight-forward motion, therefore there is no turning? Then you need something like an [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differential_(mechanical_device) automotive differential] as used for rear wheel drive vehicles, allows the left and right wheels to rotate at different speeds to allow for good turning. Otherwise one rear wheel would skid during a turn, if the front wheel(s) had enough traction to produce a turn and not be the one(s) skidding.
Let us know if that's what the problem is, maybe something can be worked out.

Bump. (Flymudpie - a few pictures of what you've got/done would be useful for people trying to answer your question.)
