Help needed for a project Answered

Hi; sorry if the topic is posted in the wrong section; I need help with materials required for completing a project. My assigned project is about coming up with some pen like container. It has to be like those white out containers in malleable plastic that you can somewhat press (best case), or a hard one. The casing has to be transparent (not colored)
One of my friends suggested making it using resin for the latter case. What should I use. Can you please tell me the materials and a possible process of doing that?
Much appreciated! Thank you so much!

Look around you to see what plastics are available that might fit your project - you're not really clear on what kind of pen or fluid applicator you are trying to make. Look under that bottle for a recycling code to figure out what kind of plastic it is. Clear soda/water bottles are usually PET, One of my clear glue bottles is 4-LDPE, etc. Plastics can be heat formed, vacuum formed, blow-molded, milled and machined(drilled/carved). The container can be shaped to make it a bladder - search for an ooglo project on how that is done. Good luck.

Hello. Thanks for the answer!

Hmm I &m not talking about a specific container, but rather the material it's made with, which is some sort of plastic that's not too hard. An example is the plastic containers of glue like this (http://www.asia.ru/images/target/photo/51528709/Liquid_Glue.jpg), plastic like these bottles (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Mbisb6PLEJ0/Tb8wzPobABI/AAAAAAAAANQ/O-ykqSSd-O0/s1600/babyshampoo.gif) and (http://shaineysfashion.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/pure-seduction.jpg)

I am looking for how to make such material.

Thanks!

Well, a clear hand santizer bottle has 1-PETE . 4-LDPE is the plastic code from before. Just search on how to make PET or LDPE plastics. It could be the processing or chemical additives that give it its pliability. It is usually an industrial chemical process that might be hazardous to do at home. There are probably youtube videos from shows on how they make plastic water bottles.

you could try the milk plastic you make at home with milk cured with some lemon juice or vinegar. But that is a soft cloudy blob of plastic. There are ibles on that.
