If you've made your guide, all you need to do now is open an instructable you want to include (search if you need to), then on the right side (where you normally see info/stats etc, is a grey box that says "Guides", below that you'll now see:
"Add to a guide" (there's a drop down, in case you have multiple guides), click the guide name, then click on "add". The link next to it allows you to view your guide. Continue searching out instructables until your guide is done.
Scroll down the page (looking at the right). Find the box that says "Guides". At the bottom of the box you'll see BOLD text that says: "Add to a guide" next to a drop down that will have your guide name in it... then just press the "add" button.
Really? I wonder if you're not having a "bug" related issue with using IE...
Can you try using Firefox and see if that works?
The process is very simple. After you start a Guide, the option to add an instructable should always be available on every instructable.
As I said, you need to look at the right for one of the grey boxes that says "Guides" and inside that box is the function to "ADD TO A GUIDE". --- I posted an image (above) of what it looks like.
If after trying Firefox, you are still unable to find it then post back here and I'll see what we can do okay?
Ok. Here's the process for adding instructables to a guide.
1. You have a guide done. It has a title and description. Then you pressed the "save and add instructables" button.
2. Search for instructables that you want in your guide. For example; I searched for guitars (which I know you like). :) - See image 1
3. Open an instructable that you want to add to your guide. See image 2.
4. Scroll down the page (on the instructable), until you see the area marked in image number 2.
5. If the title of your guide is in the "drop down", then you only have to click on "add". (The drop down is there in case you have more than one guide).
6. Continue steps 2 - 5 until you have added ALL the instructables you want in your guide.
7. Then open your guide and follow the onscreen steps to "publish" your guide.
NOTE: To see a close up of the images, right click on them and open them in another website browser window.
If you still have problems, or questions, please let me know.
I would suggest that you (or freeza36) post a "bug report" HERE in the Community Forum Section; and let the staff know that you are not able to see the link to add instructables to a guide. Make sure the title clearly states the problem, and in the description, explain the issue and what web browser you are using (i.e. Firefox 9, Safari 5.1). You can also include a link back to this question.
If you post a helpful bug report, you might earn free Pro Membership. ;)
You may also notice that on the images you posted, the second one does show the "Guides" box. If you had simply scrolled down a little further (to the bottom of the guide box), you would have seen the area where you "add to a guide". This appears on ALL pages after you create a guide. Then all you do is click on the "ADD" text and the instructable is added to your guide.
Like I said, if you're still having trouble or need more help, let me know.
I'm guessing your guide won't publish if you don't have any instructables added. (There wouldn't be much point to a guide without instructables).
If after following the directions I gave you, you are not able to see a place to add instructables to your guide, then you will need to contact Instructables for help.
Be aware that they may recommend that you use a different browser (I know you said you could not), but try them any way. Give as much info about this issue as you can. Give them a link to this help question also.
service AT instructables DOT com is their email (found at bottom of page).
The only last thing I can suggest is that you borrow a friend's computer, login and add instructables to your guide, OR go to your local library and do it there. Most library's have internet access and computers you can borrow.
Ok. Let me correct that... YOU WERE able to publish your guide on Street Luge. I see it, however there are no instructables in it. (obviously the whole problem).
So one last time, try searching for a street luge instructable. OPEN IT. Then scroll down the page, look on the RIGHT for a box that says "Guides". Look to the bottom of the "guide box" for the option to add instructable to your guide. (Click add if you do).
If you are still NOT able to see a place to add instructables ON an OPEN instructable, then contact the email I gave you.

It will be A LOT EASIER for you to follow my instructions, if you use the pages I used for the images.
I searched guitars and opened the 3rd one "How to build an Electric Guitar".
(You commented on this instructable also). it was written by "friger".
