Hi, I have a notebook display (Compaq R3000) works well, the rest of the laptop fail, my question is this: can i enter video signal in some way to display without the motherboard?

if I can not, what would you do?

Unless you have advanced electronics skills, and a lot of patience, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to use it. On the bright side, the backlight should be salvageable, although it is likely that it will be quite a delicate job to get it out in one piece.

You could... at least in theory, but unless you had a very high skill in electronics, you probably wouldn't be able to do it.
