Actually, they aren't. It is possible to ionize a gas with an electric field, without heating it to high temperature. "Cold plasma" is used in dentistry, among other things.
In the referenced texts I surmise our own ionic nerve conduction, which can be and has been demonstrated to be affected by magnetism, can be considered a lukewarm plasma ! ! !
But..... and this is my personal EE interpretation, I am not a being running on four states of matter, just three...
Even if the MIBs can decipher my magnetic pathways...
I think that's an overgeneralization. A plasma exists at low density, not in a dense fluid like the intracellular medium. Your interpretation would apply equally well to the separated charges in a battery or fuel cell.
While being far more complex then a mere fuel cell and reiterating that we are organisms functioning on only three states of matter.
The case for nerve conduction ionic flow being a lukewarm cold plasma is based in part ( one stool leg ) on the nerve density being within the Debye length of 10-11 through 105 as referenced by Caltech physics table data of eight years ago.
I chafe at the notion of a lukewarm plasma NTP... Irregardless of how interesting food processing or dental applications of cold plasma may be.
To this EE, only the violent matter altering plasmas are worthy of the name, referring to the fourth state of matter, Though I'm not sure of where to classify those pretty Plasma globes.

But to manipulate with magnets you need movement so there's a flow of electrical current, like a wire.
I keep forgetting the definition fo plasma so there you go could you remind me of what it is and what gasses I could use. oh can I use argon? you know its commonly found in a lightbulb the ordinary type not the flourescent or led bulbs

Any amount of plasma will melt 2" steel faster then you can move unless
there is a throttling device of the fourth state matter unknown to you.
Cold and plasma are a contradiction of terms but Play makes it all work.
