How do I clean my Vibe's trigger? Answered

I've got all this paint and gunk right in the nooks and crannies of the trigger and the frame, and the only way to clean it properley would be to remove the trigger. I haven't been able to find anything on this, and I don't want to experiment.

I've tried all of those, and even cotton swabs.  They don't work because their is a gap between the trigger and the frame of less than a millimetre, and then there is a hole in the side of the trigger where all the gunk collects.  Maybe just run a whole lot of water with a hose or such, but I am a bit concerned about the metal pivot rusting..
