Put in simple terms YOU can't feature anything.
If you could feature your own work then everybody could feature everything & the title Featured would be worthless.
Featuring is the job of those who run the site & feature team; it is something that happens to 'ibles that are considered to be outstanding in their presentation & general worth. If you really want to get your 'ibles featured the you should study the following:-

http:// https://www.instructables.com/community/Featuring-Checklist/

While we are on the subject of worth, you will find that most of us would rather have someone subscribe because they feel that the work & instructions we produce impress someone enough to warrant a desire to see what we produce in the future.
Subscription is not a currency, it is a pat on the back to your fellow 'iblers, an acknowledgment of their knowledge, skill & ability to convey thieir ideas in a way that enables others to reproduce it for themselves.
I for one would not feel I had earned someone’s subscription merely because I had answered a question.

You don't. The members of the feature team (including Staff and a small number of members invited by Eric), based on the criteria cited by Kevpvc999 and their own judgement, mark Instructables to be featured.

The members of the feature team most definitely do not feature their own Instructables, except for Staff-developed Guides.

Sure... contribute enough well-written and photographically-documented ibles that the staffers take notice and invite you to the feature team. Once you're invited in, you'll receive instructations from there on how to feature stuff. Just as an FYI, it's my understanding that featuring your own instructables is a bit of a no-no.
