How do I limit current in a parallel circuit when I know the current draw of components but not resistance? Answered
I have a 6V 1500mA power supply connected in parallel with 3 branches, each containing a single servo drawing 300mA of power.
The amount of power each servo draws (300mA approx) depends on the torque.
I wish to limit the maximum amount of current on one of the branches to 300mA max (not capping the others) using a resistor but have completely forgotten how to apply the basic formulas to deduce this. I keep getting confused by voltage drops and other variables.
Any help however basic would be most appreciated. Usually I dont use resistors with servos but this time its essential. Thanks.
