How do I put together several DXF files?
How do I put together several .dxf files to one single file so that it can be routed in one take? Is there like a piece of software out there what I have missed?
Thanks
Simon

I don't know, but it might help others if you tell them what software you are using so far?

DXF is universal file format you should be able to edit it in a text editor but it can mess up and not save in the original file format.

What are you using ? Cut and paste works in my CAD system, or you can do it with Inkscape.

I use copy and paste in order to keep the original File.

For dozens of programs I start by File New.
Save As ABC
Then I go to File A and copy.
Then I go to File ABC and paste.
Then I save ABC.
Then I go to File B and copy.
Then I go to File ABC and paste.
Then I save ABC.
Then I go to File C and copy.
Then I go to File ABC and paste.
Then I save ABC.
This is the only way I have ever seen for connecting files that never fails and works for every program I have ever worked with.
Now MSWord Office has ways of connecting Excel sheets to Word files and the like but when I write a book I keep the chapters separate and assemble the book this way before publishing.
