How do I recharge my 18650 batteries Answered

Hello everyone, and good day!

I am attempting to add recycled laptop batteries to an old radio of mine, making it portable. I Need 12v to run it. I have made a battery pack already, but am worried that if I just use a 12v power supply to charge them, I might ruin the batteries.

also, I want to be able to plug in and listen while the batteries charge. Is it true that all I need to do is to make the input and output at the same point?

I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance!

I'm looking into this as well. i am a very ghetto builder of gadgets and don't like over spending on my adventures. i found this cheap charger on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/iMAX-B6-Digital-Battery-Balance-Charger-and-Discharger-For-Lion-LiPo-LiFe-GL-/282048500472?hash=item41ab6692f8:g:ACQAAOSwH6lXRSCK

I've started a thread of my own asking if these will charge parallel sets of unprotected cells safely. ill let you know what i find out.

You need to look into battery charging circuits and if you are dealing with lipo batteries, be careful. Good luck.
