How do I set up my touch screen for Raspberry Pi? Answered

I have a 5 inch touch screen for my Raspberry Pi, and I want to set it up.  It's a resistant touch screen communicating through the GPIO pins.  Here's the screen itself.  I think that all I need to do is do something in the terminal to install it...  I have the driver files.  Here's the link for the driver files.  Please help.

Do you have much experience with Linux? If you're having file permission problems, have you tried running the commands as shown in the waveshare link?

I.E., use sudo : it means to execute the following command as a superuser (su = super user, which can do anything within the operating system. You may need to tweak executable files, etc., if you accidentally set wrong, but sudo can fix that...

Thank you, but I already knew that. What I'm having problems with is in my FTP client I don't have permission to transfer the file I want to transfer. Do you know how I could get the file on? PuTTY?
