How do I unsubscribe and stop auto pay? Answered

I want out! I only wanted help with one project, I never completed my subscription information and yet was charged anyway!
There is no "manage my account" category even offered, I feel as though you are robbing me and not allowing me a way out!
So, my question is how do I get out of this money trap?

I'm having a problem too when I click on "cancel PayPal subscription" it just opens my account page in a new window still showing the next payment date of February 22. I think the site is a great idea but I haven't used it more than once

You can cancel your PayPal payment on your PayPal page.

If you don't have a Pay Pal account then you can't pay with Pay Pal so from what I am reading you don't have a pro account to start with. You have to be a member in order to comment and submit material but the basic account is free. if there is nothing under the pro tab then you are not a pro member and no charges will be incurred.

Turns out you are wrong. The support people contacted me to tell me that mine went through without a Pay Pal account, and they are working to help remove me.

Glitches happen, so don't be so sure that you know what is going on, because you might not after all snooty pants! Lol

Thanks for your I put though.

You can pay for pro by more than one method, and most should have the option of cancelling payments.

Probably best go with Steve's advice, and email service@instructables.com - use the email address you open the account with.

If you just "demote" to free membership, you'll still be able to see all the content, you'll just have to put up with a couple of extra adverts and not being able to download PDFs.

Thank you for the suggestion, I have followed his advise and hope to hear back from them that the account has been dropped.

You have all been most helpful, and I appreciate it.

May I ask; why did you subscribe in the first place?

As stated before, I liked the instructions for one project, but I could not print, or even look at the complete instructions without being a member, so I thought I would try it out, but found the site to be less than useful to me.
Also, I tried to leave or opt out right after, and could not leave then either.

Incidentally, click on the "You" icon at the top right of the window, then click settings, and then "Pro memberships", if you have paid, then you will see how long your subscription has left.

Yeah, that wasn't offered under Pro membership, but thank you for the try.
