I noticed for most websites, including Instructables, this only works fine with "legit" Email addresses. Certain Email providers love to hide/move these registration confirmations due to bad spam filters. Others are "blocked" by Instructables, like some disposable Email providers. Usually the one you got from your ISP works fine and the only problem might be that you have to check the suspected spam folder - sometimes this only works through webmail and not with your Email client.

you should have gotten an email that says "Verify your email (it's super easy)" open the email up and click "verify now!"
