How do you copy and paste? Answered

I have had people telling me that there is something wrong with my computer.
That is not an answer!
Every other site with text entry works fine!....
You might be using some kind of 3rd party..
1737 lines of HTML for the ask a questions page. I don't know if this is a lot but seems like it.
2000 for an average instructible
about 2000 for each editor page.
I guess that's pretty good, but then again there is only a title bar, bottom bar, and a couple of text entry boxes. All the rest is just functions and stuff I am not going to read through, and it doesn't look like my computer wants to read through it all either.

If you are having trouble pasting into an Instructable or comment which you are writing, you would be better off posting a bug report in the forums. When you do so, please specify what your operating system and browser are (including version), because I'bles uses an awful lot of platform-specific JavaScript :-(

Since you haven't asked a very clear question, you're unlikely to get a useful answer to this posting. Though the ranting is mildly amusing.

LoL to the people who are telling me ctrl-V and use firefox.

I think its the heavy-scripting of the site. thanks Kelsey for understanding., and thanks for the answer I did write a bug report but I guess its only happening to me, is not a big enough problem, or nobody uses paste in their instructibles or comments. Its about time I refreshed my computer anyway

Ctrl + C for copy and Ctrl + V for paste.

You're not sposed to be using Notepad for browsing webpages which is why you're seeing lines of code etc, or your browser is in editor mode.

Highlight --- Right click , copy. Then Right click paste. Pretty basic stuff.

Make sure to use Firefox as your browser.

Ok this question of yours seems rather random. As a matter of fact no question was presented other than the title. Which leaves a lot to be desired.

So what are you trying to copy and paste? I take it you want to copy an entire instructable and paste it into a document!? If so the highlight the text, hit Ctrl+C then click on the document and hit Ctrl+V. As for the images you can right click on them and select Save Image As.

You can also right click the page, hit Select all. Then hit Crtl+C to copy the page and Ctrl+V in a document to copy it over.

But the best way to have your favorite instructables at your finger tips is to become a pro member where you can download the instructables as a PDF.
