Why not start googling that, and clicking the first few links? Youtube has some great how-to's. Start with a small ~$40 cheapie, I started with a Hubsan X4, and learn that, then move on in the direction that intrests you.

1+ !!!

Tried that and without a homing function your drone is certain to crash and be lost.
Don't know why but aiming at the sun to check how high it can fly caused my to loose sight of the drone quite fast.
The remote was not beeping so all seemed to fine in terms of control of the drone and I kept climbing.
Nice side effect at that time was that the sun appeared far less bright than at the beginning but I still could not find the drone anywhere.
About 8 minutes into the flight the remote indicated a signal loss and I assumed I reached max altitude as I was just going straight up into the sun.
To test the homing function I left the controls untouched and tried to spot the drone on the way down.
You can imagine my surprise when I started to hear the drone right above me without actually seeing it.
At this point the sun was already getting quite dark and I should have at least seen the red and green position lights...
Without actuall being able to find the drone in the airspace above me I decided to let it land by the homing function - hoping it would be accurate enough...
Turned out it was not!
All I could hear was the props hitting the branches of a nearby tree but it was too dark to see what actually happened.
Now I sit here and wonder how it could get so dark in the middle of the day?
The sun is still up as I can feel it burning on my skin but if it is a solar eclipse, shlould the moon move on by now??
So just take a miss on this project to avoid being stuck in the dark in the middle of the day ;)

Why is that kids these days are just too lazy and without enough phantasy to start a research for their school projects?
The internet offers more than useless online games and "social media" ;)
