How do you offer a download on instructables? Answered

I am making an instructable on html code and the editor is acting up. I need to give the ability to the future instructable viewers to be able to download the code samples. Any answers would be appreciated! :D

Paste the code into a .txt document and load the document into your picture gallery. If you then add the file to a step from your gallery it will put it in it's own ribbon at the bottom of the step.

You could also use a text box in the body of the step itself if you want the code to be shown as plain text. Like this:

<pre>
<textarea style="width:600px; height:300px;" rows="20" readonly="readonly" name="code" cols="75">ENTER CODE HERE</textarea>
</pre>

Make sure you switch to the HTML view when posting code you want actually execute, like the text box above.

On the editor ribbon it is the far left icon, hover to get tooltips, with the tags, <>, as a symbol.
