How might I make a loft bed where the bed height is adjustable? Answered
I want to make a loft type bed for my daughter, with a desk / dressing table underneath.
However, she is still quite young, so I dont want the loft bed too high at night.
I want to be able to move the bed platform up and down to a high 'out of the way' position for use in the day and a low position for sleeping (sort of 'just above the desk top position')
But I obvioulsy need to be able to move the bed up and down on a daily basis, so I need something to achieve this.
I am looking at what mechanisms people might think suitable - tracks with linear actuator or gas struts perhaps? with obviously some sort of locking device.
Any ideas guys?
