That's 250 litres. You can use Archimedes' principle which states "A body immersed in a fluid is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the displaced fluid". In other words, how much water will the barrel displace, how much will the displaced water weigh?

That should allow you to work it out, I didn't just want to do it for you.

I get about 208 liters out of 55 gallons.
