You know the "shock" you get from touching someone who has a big static charge built up on a cold dry day? It's like that but about 5-10 times. Not "dangerous" but hurts a bit and startles you.

If this is the one you are talking about......... not much, but it does get your attention. Look at it this way, "they" would not sell it if it could "seriously" hurt you.

With this particular item I'd say "safe".... unless there is a pacemaker involved! BUT, by all means, PLEASE do it on video......!

My mom once touched a AA powered one from Wal-Mart, and she literally flew across the room. I wouldn't recommend touching one.

Hurts enough for you to say ouch and jump but not deadly.
