How should I do it? Answered

I want to make a small inverter with 10kv output powered from a 9v battery.
Can you help me with a schematic?

What's wrong with the many, many flyback circuits here ?

they all consume to much power and the battery will die instantly

How much power are you asking from your 10kV ? A 9V battery is a rotten source anyway. It holds a surprisingly little amount of energy.

There is no intrinsic reason why a flyback style PSU will consume too much power, if its designed right, and you tune it using the right equipment.

Attempting to make an efficient HT PSU without access to an oscilloscope is an exercise in futility.
