Yeah, I've heard stories where people got behind a semi truck. The gas milelage display said that they were getting about 40 mpg, and the car was rated for about 30 mpg highway.

The gauge he recommended was the ScanGauge. For $170, it can be a worthwhile device for those that want to increase mileage.

Or if you have a laptop you can get an interface box off ebay from China (pirate? in my electronics?) for $30.
