How to Ski in the Summer Answered

I was pretty impressed with the ingenuity and creative thinking that went into developing plastic sheets on ski hills for skiers to continue practicing through the summer. Maybe someone could make an Instructable on how to do one of these on the cheap for anyone who isn't fortunate enough to live near a ski club outfitted with these plastic chutes? I'm not a skier myself; grew up in Florida and live in SoCal so I'm more of a summer critter, but I love the Winter Olympics.

Maybe just a slip-n-slide?

Slip 'n' slide is exactly what I thought of when I first read this - but it seems it's a bit more complex and costly.

A roll of plastic and a bucket of soapy water?

LOL It's specially designed fibers that make up the sheets - sort of like plastic broom heads.

That's the tough pro stuff - if you just want to have a couple of goes down a slope, a slip-and-slide will do the job.

True, the DIY budget version will work well for non-olympiads although it's recommended a camera be at the ready for the ensuing carnage.
