Somewhat amusing: How to Tell if a Webpage Sucks.

And yeah, we try not to suck. If we accidentally do you should tell us. :-)

Oh, I love this. (I saw it a few days ago- thanks digg!) Oddly enough, I have this really crappy site thats kind of meant to be crappy -- it has more ads than content, etc. But since they aren't hidden at all... and its not advertised at all, its considered the "Real Deal" according to this -- YAY :D Lets see... you come close on the Web 2.0 Fluff -- but dodge it ;-)

Well, I've seen pictures of non-mutilated cats on here, and possibly the author, though I don't know who actually designed the page...does that make this a "newb ego blogger" page?

Aha, but those cats were likely user submitted and then probably don't count. Or do they?

(Note: if you got here from Digg, Slashdot, or Reddit, then I deserve to be sent to /dev/null)

................no, I think it was actually boingboing it's really bad when site just link to each other, eg. just recently treehugger blogged about the USB breath charger (an "iBle") then another tech site posted it "via treehugger", then engadget posted it via the last site that via'd it by treehugger!

I got stuck on clever misspelling... Instructables is more of a coined word, become more accepted outside of the 2.0...

If no... Eventually I go to real deal...
If yes, I think the orange is close enough to consider it saturated... And I hit web 2.0 o.0

He did forget to mention... Anything that says "coming soon." But the "make you feel like throwing a chair" was hilarious...

Over the summer, it was hilarious to find a blog somewhere that said:
"Oh yes, she’s a bit slow to the punch. Have you noticed that you can sniff out Rails sites just by their responsiveness? Take instructables.com. Awesome site, undeniably, but it has that slow-roasted flavor so distinctive of Ruby on Rails." (with respect to the slower server speeds of yore). I thought it was hilarious that the opening statement began with an incorrect assertion :p Link <--the quoted bit has since been removed as commenters corrected the author :)

I am a bit biased, but the instructables website is a situation where - even if you fall on your sword, you can be certain that you didn't miss the point.

Thanks for the new streamlined eMail notifications too :)

The Instructables site is great! Easy to navigate and good design. The style of the site really has a DIY feel... It's probably just the cutout hand at the top though :P One thing though - I'd really like the ability to have advanced search on any page instead of just the main one.
