If you found the Instructable on operating the Large Hadron Collider a bit complex, Ian O'Neill has provided much simpler assembly and operating instructions.

Wow, I like the point that it doesn't involve any digging. My parents are a bit too concerned about the state of the lawn in the garden ;). Maybe I should buy one the next time I'm in Ikea.

nothing... you?

aww nothin much, just building a 47 Km particle accelerator that flings atoms at eachother at just below the speed of light...

That would be seriously awesome. I wouldn't look for one this early in the game, though -- look how long it took them to publish on the LEM...
