How to connect a normal household fan to a battery?
Hi everyone
I'm trying to connect a standard 230V- 50Hz 25W fan to a battery to make it mobile for a project I'm working on. I want the battery to be able to power the fan for at least an hour before recharging it.
What type of inverter will I need for this and what kind of battery?
Thanks!

The small 150W can style inverter should do with a 12V 30Ah or bigger sealed Lead Acid battery

Thanks alot petercd!
Can it work with lower Ah battery, e.g. 12V ? That would only affect the running time of the fan right?
Those 30Ah ones are rather expensive here in Copenhagen....

Sure, just means a shorter run time as you rightly guessed.
