How to fix up a bass guitar? Answered

So my parents got me a bass guitar from an auction but it is in a terrible condition….I don't play bass and i have very little experience with guitars it has no strings and I'm wondering if there are any other things i need to do, i will upload a few pictures if it helps...

Take it to your local music store and they should be willing to help you out in getting it strung and see if it actually works.

thanks, do you know if most music shops will charge to have a look at it and string it? I plugged it into my amp and it sounds like the electics are working

They will charge for the stringing. Advice is typically free. You won't know if the electronics are sound till you string it and strum it.
