How to make RF remote? Answered

I was given a Clapper for my birthday... anyways, it came with a remote that uses Radio Frequency to turn on stuff. I want to know how to make my own circuit, any suggestions? I only want to control one thing, so the transmitter doesn't have to send too complex a signal and the receiver won't have to decipher much. All I need to know is HOW to send it. THANKS!

The receiver board may look simple in parts but there may be an IC integrated circuit chip under that black blob of epoxy. The RF signal may be complex or a string of commands coded to what the receiver can decipher as not to get it mixed up with any false signals. You could search on RF transmitter circuits and see what you can come up. It might be hard trying to match it up to the receiver if you have no way of knowing what signal or codes it is looking for. Even a garage door opener has a security keyed sequence that must be matched to the receiver but the clapper may not be as complex. Good luck.

Sorry I didn't do as much research as I should have.
Yes, there definitely is a microcontroller under there, because two appliances can be controlled with the remote so the signals must be different.

I found this:

Low cost, easy to use stuff. I'll make something with my Arduino! I'm thinking of making a Faraday generator to power the transmitter, just for kicks.

Now I just need something to power hah.
