I see that you want to run a concrete mixer... but in the future please be more specific... I clicked on this because as an audio technician whenever I see "mixer" I immediately think "Sound Mixer" and "oooo... fun!" ;)

Usually something turns something or moves something with some kind of power to result in things getting mixed together. I hope that is a concise enough description to fit your question. Check the directions that came with it. That includes people mixers where people get together and mix with each other.

Mix is both a noun and a verb.

A spoon is a mixer. So is a stick like the one you use for mixing paint. Most sticks don't come with instructions but I am sure there are exceptions.
