I can't seem to import a hyperlink into my instructable. What is the procedure, exactly? Answered

Also, I'm sure it's just my inexperience, but I'm finding it difficult to find answers to simple questions like this in the FAQs, Community and help files. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Just use the button that says link in the upper box, something like this:

Hi Jeff, That's been my problem. The link button in my instructable doesn't do anything except blink, and no text fields appear. Oddly enough, though, the link button above the box in which I am typing this message to you now does open up exactly as you describe. It just won't in my instructable. At least I now know what to look for. Any ideas?

Update: I just tried it in my instructable and it is now working, though for the life of me I can't figure out why. I did nothing different. Anyway, thanks for your help!

There is a button marked "link" directly above the text input box. When you click it, you will be presented with two additional text fields. In one of them you will copy the url, and in the other type a bit of text to describe the link. For instance, this link goes back to the Instructables home page
