Redneck is right. You should only need a few basic tools. If you are trying to repair/maintain an old car, try and get a workshop manual for it. Besides helping with repairs etc, it will tell you if any special tools are required for any particular job.
. Instructables can usually give you an answer, but, in this case, you may get a better response at a site that is automotive-specific. I'd start by searching for a site for Ford 3.8L fans.
You should only need a few wrenchs and or sockets of the right size to remove the bolts holding it on. The proble is that there is not much clearance between the bolts and the wheel well. Also you will have to remove the serpentine belt before you can remove it. And since your removing the belt its a good time to replace it.
