I have a movie I want to inset into an Instructable - how do I do it? Answered

It is 1min 32 sec long, 122 MB size, and .mov file. Is it possible to get this down to 10MB?

I want to insert it into a step-by-step Instructable.

It must be some big format like AVI?
Reprocess it with more compression - what video editing software do you have?

Hi, thanks everyone. I did get the movie up on Youtube, and got the "embed" code inserted into the instructable, but it's just a link, it doesn't come up as a ready to play video.

That's the short link, look again for the embed, I should be able to do it - let's see.

I thought I copied that from the embed...
Actually I found the short url for "embed" under the "Share" button.
Thank you much for your assistance lemonie. I'd like to get this figured out, I have another instructable I'd like to get up and it has a video also.

I've missed the right bit before, it's a "look again" thing - YT rearranged the thing fairly recently...

Use a video hosting service like Youtube to upload the video, and then simply place the embed code in your instructable.

I thought I answered this not 3 days ago, but the other question is gone. Strange.

Yeah, I was also going to link that one, and couldn't find it either. Questions very similar to this do get asked fairly frequently though.
