Ideas for making a ciggerete Case?? Answered

You put your pack of smokes in your pocket, and forget about them, leaving them in all day, and being a active person I am, I'm outside doing things, lifting shit, all that goodness. So by the end of the day, my pack is completely mangled and I'm lucky the smokes aren't all smushed up. So I was wondering, what could I make a metal case for them out of, I don't like the cheapy ones you buy in the store, I have a few empty hd cases, perhaps they could pose for some heavy duty cases if they were sized down a bit?

I use a case from Barkleys (tastefully intense mints) by Tuttle & Co. You can buy them in the Netherlands for about a euro at the Xenos.
Dunno if it's a global brand but it's the closest we have here to Altoids.
(see images) works like a charm :)

Actually, Ive made several drawings for a cig case that operates like a double stack rifle magazine. I hope my last sentence made your imagination explode.

I just want to see a drawing is all. Like many of my inventions, they've stayed on paper because I lack the resources. If you can actually build it that would be awesome.

Well I have the sheet metal, and probably some hinges somewhere, but I think a riviting gun would come in hand at this point.

I "can" weld, but it seems that the lack of one seems to be the bottleneck here.

Same here. The next best thing i guess is stock tubing, the square ones - or - at the cost of compactness fasten everything with screws.

I found a players ciggerete case on my road :p It'll do for now, but I still want to put something together with a cool paint job. Stock tubing..hmm that would be a big peice of square tubing but that would work good, chop saw it in half? and screw together. A rectangular support beam or something like that would almost be perfect, put some sheet metal cut to size on each side eh?

They're kinda shorter than regular ciggies? At least some of the ones I've seen on here, besides, altoids is only in the uk aren't they? But yea, they'd be the ideal thing if I could find a big one.

Listen, I've seen kids smoke at like 10 years old, it's sick, but I'm a little older, it just isn't as bad. I know any smoking is bad, but like I said before, a whole pack of smokes can last me a week, if it were a habit (dirty one at that) then I would go thru a pack a day.

Nope we got them in the states too, but there made in the UK, but I can only find the peppermint kind I used to love the cinnamon but I can't find them at any store. But how to smokes keep you awake, wouldn't it make you tired cause your getting less air, I just chug a monster (the orange ones are awsome!) or a bawls then go crazy lol

Personally I liked those sobe rush drinks, but smoked can keep you awake because if you've ever smoked, you know that it puts you on edge for about 20 minutes or so after you smoke it, it keeps me awake.

I had a leather pouch that I used to keep my cigs in. It had a loop to fasten to my belt and worked quite well at keeping my cigs from being crushed. There was the one time a cop came to my home (looking for someone else) and actually thought it might be a weapon. There was a tense moment before he let me show him it was my cigarettes.

I smoke (a pack can last me a week) basically to keep me awake, and on the edge. I run on like 4 hours of sleep every day because I find sleeping to be a waste of time and my most productive time is at night. I like the night.. :p

Really? How long have you been going like that? I tried cutting back on sleep and found my limit to be a little more than five hours of sleep. I mean, of course I can go on less, but not long term.

I find sleeping to be a waste of time

It's a bitch, ain't it? I really hope that sometime in my lifetime we figure out how to do without it. I mean, all those hours are going unused!

my most productive time is at night

Heh, same here. No one else to bother you, it's quiet, and there's nothing good on the television.

Well the only way I manage it is because I just Cannot get to sleep unless I'm actually tired, so it usually takes being up till 1am or 2am sometimes to get me tired enough to sleep, that may not be 4 hours, but close, depending when I need to get up. It is a bitch, maybe when we're all hooked up to a super computer with electric chair resembeling helmets, then maybe by then we won't have to sleep anymore. Night time is calmer too, I could just sit outside and stay out there all night. I usuaully go sit out in my shed and have a smoke before I go to bed, rather relaxing. Btw, you don't know the meaning of "nothin on tv tonight". We pay close to $50 a month for cable, of which we get aroung 7 spanish/french channels that are that language pretty much 24/7.

I have a friend that reuses mini-M&M containers to hold 5-6 cigarettes when he's out on the town. You can keep them in your pants pocket and they're very safe.

If you know about bending metal, that would be cool. Just get two little hinges.

Yea, I found enough sheet metal to do it, but I don't have much else other than a pair of locking plyers as far as tools. One of those tools for bending metal like they use in orange county choppers for the fenders would be handy.

Do you have a blow torch? Even if you don't, I'd bet you could clamp it to a metal pipe and bend it like that?

I have torch nozzles somewhere, but I don't have filled propane cylinders. So yes and no, it's a matter of picking one box out of 295 and looking.
