I'm back everybody! Answered

Hi everyone, I'm back from the TSA national competition in Orlando Florida! I got a 2nd place trophy in a challenge called electrical applications, which is basically electronic tests and circuits and what not. I personally think the competition was poorly planned and some of the questions were trick questions (although they wouldn't seem trick to a more ignorant person, for example: Hooking a 9volt battery in parallel with an existing 9volt battery in a circuit will: a) decrease current in the circuit b) increase the current in the circuit c) double the current in the circuit d) the current in the circuit will stay the same The answer could be B,C, or D, yet only one can be the right one. 2nd best in the nation, wooo here's a pic of my trophy:

Congrats and nice job. I'd never heard of TSA before but 2nd in the nation sounds like a pretty good accomplishment.

The answer is A if the second battery is hooked up polarity backwards. Good Job!

Wow, second place in nationals! I'm in TSA too but I didn't really involve myself much this year. Next year I'm going to enter every contest I can stand. I'll be shocked if I don't go to nationals.

cool Ones I recomend (if ur in middleschool) Transportation challenge (it was good until they changed it into a hovercraft) Electrical applications inventions and inovations And a couple others that I forget Thing I dont like about inventions and innovations. It doesn't really require any skill. For example, these people come up with this magical device that does whatever they say with no information how this could even be remotely achieved

Congratulations. I bet half the fun is just the competition or just meeting cool people and making friends when you get the opportunity to travel. Somebody needs to change the name of the club so you don't get mixed up with those people checking the airports and losing the dummy electronic explosive devices.

Yay you're back!

Might I comment on how clever these people are. They just take a small cup and put it in a loooong piece of other material. Minimal gold to buy, yet they can still say: but look at this big trophy! When in reality that thing could probably fit in your pocket.......not bringing you down here, but its just that that bugs me....

Anyway, welcome back!....and whatnot.......
