In competitions, must you make instructions to win, or will a simple picture entry suffice? Answered

This is mine. https://www.instructables.com/id/Cupcake-bouquets/ I am waiting for it to be accepted into the cake decorating competition that is currently going. Any clarification would be great! Thanks in advance!

Each judge assigns scores based on predetermined judging criteria (for things like creativity etc). The scores are then added up and a winner is determined.

Since this is a makers website, I think the chances are higher if someone shows clear instructions on how to replicate the project (or in your case cupcakes). If a project only shows the end result and no instruction on how to make it, then I think the chances of winning are much lower.

Read the official rules. Its all spelled out for you there. If the instructable meets the criteria it can be entered. It just takes time for the moderators of the competition to get around to approving entries. You haven't been denied yet so i'm sure you'll get in.
