Instructable newsletter under Promotions in Gmail Answered

I used to get the instructable newsletter regularly but wasn't receiving them recently. The last one was on 10th Nov. I checked the Promotions tab in Gmail and there they were(along with "Latest from Instructables" which never ever made it to my inbox). I've added the email IDs to contacts so they will hopefully end up in the inbox in future, but was wondering if anyone else faced anything similar? I didn't change any settings so it must be some changes at the instructables newsletter end or maybe Gmail made the promotion filtering stricter...
