Instructables Internship - Day 8
Wednesday: Jason's Last v_v
Today was Jason's (derangedmoose7) Last Day, so we pretty much just spent all of it working on Project X. It's come along so far, it's truly quite amazing how quickly it was originally put together and how long it's taking to tweak it in order to get what we really want.
I feel bad keeping Proj. X a secret from all of you, it would be awesome to tell you what we're doing every day, but It's gotta be kept a secret until it's released.
By the way, Wednesday was my and Noah's salad club day. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the muffin stuffs... AGAIN.... I'm such an idiot....
Luckily, Noah brought salad stuffs and we made lunch together, again, I got to chop!
I also played around with my solar panels a bit, diffusing the LEDs and getting new LEDs, too. I made one earring, but it doesn't work very well... The LEDs light, but they're not bright... at all. I'm thinking about putting a cap on there so that they charge, and then some sort of tansistor that will clamp when there isn't sufficient light, the LED's flash for a split second, grabbing everyone's attention. Sounds good, doesn't it?!
Hmmm... what else?
I was planning on playing with the laser cutter today, but alas, I was working on Proj. X with Jason, that that'll have to wait for tomorrow.
OH! THAT'S RIGHT! I made the Badge templates Wednesday night! HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT THOSE?
well, going out to see scenic Oakland. gotta go!
Cheers,
-Muffinator

Maybe you could use a variation on a solar engine - instead of a solar cell, use a weeny watch battery to charge a capacitor until there's enough juice to flash the LEDs brightly.

I was about to post an idea, then I realized thats what you were going to do :P "I'm thinking about putting a cap on there so that they charge, and then some sort of [transistor] that will clamp when there isn't sufficient light, the LED's flash for a split second... "

So project X is a collaborative effort? Who's plan was it originally? Welder, surgical tubing... I still am going with "slingshot". I really wish I was there, but it gets redundant posting the same thing over and over again.

Yeah... it seems like not as many people are looking at these posts now, anyway...

Does that give us the right to hijack it?

PLEASE SAY IT DOES =]

One of his threads hijacked is enough, I think.
...unless we use the brain control on HIM!

O_O I hope he's using a 56k modem, then i can phone-phreak into him and allow us to find out what proj. x is. =]

Yeah, I'm reading them all, even if I dont comment. Its sometimes hard to think of something that hasn't been said on one of the other ones ;-)

Howdy J, When you say the LEDs are not bright do you mean they're not getting enough power to be bright or that they're not blinding like you expected when fully powered.

Well... in the sunlight, you can't really tell they're lit, but in a room inside you definitely can. That's what I meant by that. No Worries! =)

It's strange, i never noticed but my eyes are, in fact, green. I wonder if they were always like that? I like how you can refer to using a high powered laser as "Playing" Rofl

hehe... I also got to play with a REALLY fancy welder! (for making proj. X)
