Instructables Restuarant
I've heard this idea before, but Adrian reminded me again today. Why not have an instructables restaurant to bring in money? Yeah I know you'll need more employees, a building, advertising, etc... But, its an idea. Use member's recipes on the menu, possibly a small gift shop, if its a single building, and not a chain. Just throwing out ideas.

Restaurants are something a lot of people think are a great idea, and then they go bust. The main problem is that people think of what they would like in a restaurant and not a bout how to make cash out of a business enterprise.
Not mentioning where or customer-base suggests you haven't thought about the economics of this.
Still, not a bad idea.

The overhead to open a restaurant is real high. 1 the cost of food is real expensive. Refrigeration/freezer units are not cheap either, neither is the energy to keep them going. All equipment for food service is like 10 times the price you would find at Walmart. Now is not a good time to start up a business like a restaurant unless it sold alcohol and thats a host of problems in itself.
