Both are Spanish but I would equate it to the same differences as Quebec dialect French and France dialect French.
English car, France auto, Quebec auto and chen.
English bus, France autobus, Quebec bus and autobus.
In Quebec when you write it is the same as France but when you speak it haze differences.
As in English when you write; Great Britain English colour, American English color, and Canadian English colour and color. When we speak other than accent it is the same, even if an American calls a micky a fifth.
