Is This Book Still Accurate? Answered

Today I found an electronics textbook, which will be incredibly helpful for me.  If it is still accurate.  The publishing date is 1989, and the title is 'Electronics Principles and Applications Third Edition'.  Would you consider the content to be still accurate since it is on a basic level?

Thank you very much, I appreciate it.

Not much has changed since the 17th cent!! It may not cover modern developments in integrated circuits but the basics are what is important.

When I trained we were still learning valve theory. I like it because it is very logical.

Our basic understanding of the atom hasn't affected the basics of Electronics.

I know; all I am saying is that our basic understanding of subjects does change, and I didn't know if anything had changed in electronics.
