Is it okay to have a company's name in my instructable? Answered

Im not sure if its okay to have a picture of a product that a company made, so thats why im asking....

Yes it is acceptable. Do you know that HowToons. There are a few instructables posted by them.

Sure. If the Instructable looks too much like a flat-out ad, people will flag it as spam... but simply mentioning a product that you used, or that you're comparing your project to, is harmless and sometimes useful.

Heck, some instructables have actually been posted/sponsored by manufacturers.

It is also acceptable to post links to suppliers you used, especially if the item is hard to find.

If you say its their product, and you arent trashing the company, you can use the product.

If you're asking whether you can put a picture of the product you used as part of your instructable, the answer is definitely yes. That falls squarely under Fair Use. You're not claiming the product is your own.
