Is it possible to adapt a domestic Aircon unit to feed five dog kennels, Answered

I have been asked to supply cool air to five kennels, adobe built, in a row.  I am proposing to Build a funnel box around the inside unit to feed air through pipping (drainage/plumbing) to the individual units. The engineer/salesman has told me it is immpossible to do this and a much larger/expensive system will be required.  Would any one care to comment on this ?
I was planning to fit a small fan at the far end of the tubing to aid in the flow of air and take back pressure off the unit.  As with most of the instructables I have seen here, I know this is not the "correct" way of doing the job, more of a hack but at the moment I have more time than money

Do the kennels have any venting at all in them? Chances are by just cutting a vent hole at the top wall and another on the bottom opposing wall would allow the hot air to exhaust and allow for circulation. The vent holes should be about 4" x 8" and covered in metal screen. From the outside you could add a frame to the vent openings and a slider cover to close the vents when the temperature cools down.

This may be your easiest and most cost effective solution, unless you have a serious temperature issue to address.

You'll need a lot of pressure to feed drainage pipes, unless they are very big bore, perhaps that's what they mean, or it could just be that the heat load of the 5 kennels is too large for the cooler you are proposing to use.
