When I was a kid we used to have mud ball fights.  Our hands and shoes would get caked with mud.  The best way to clean them was to find dry dirt and rub them down with that.  That would get the clean enough for a kid.

So I guess that you could say that the dirt wasn't getting dirty.

A sureway to clean up food spillages without anything getting dirty is to have a ravenously-hungry pet dog.

That gust turns it into "stinky" dirt.

Hehehehe lol.

I'm not convinced about any of the answers, lol again.

Cheers for the replies though, someone asked it on another forum,
and their answer was self cleaning glass, well that don't work either,
coz, as said somewhere above, the water gets dirty.

I love this question...

Umm, not really unless the dirt stops being dirt...

This is THE Question of our Age!   Cleaning is only removing the "dirt" from one place to another and in the end - There is no "away".   Cleaning one thing/object/germ/etc  only makes  another  thing/place/substance dirty.

Perhaps we need to find a way to live with "dirt"?

hmmm it depends on what cleaning would be. One way to look at it are plants absorb CO2 and release O2 so you could say it cleans carbon from the air and the plant isn't so much dirty because it needs the carbon to live.

Ah, but the filtering is after the fact.  That wasn't part of the question.
