Is it possible to make a big acrylic block (as big as 40" * 40" * 40") with resin casting?
I wanna make a big transparent block . It should be really transparent. Can resin casting help in this case? if not, what is the best way to do it?

Besides the cost and potential fire and off-gassing hazards of attempting this, you'd most likely end up with many tiny bubbles and the resin may yellow over time. I'm not sure what the answer is, but resin is a pain in the butt to work with, especially on the scale you're talking about. Best of luck!

Yonatan has a good point. The casting exothermic release of energy will warp the cube and perhaps set a wood table on fire...
I have seen a half full paper cup produce a black round singe spot on a wood shelf where it was placed after pouring a quarter cup into a mold...

if possible, that's about 20,000$ of resin.
What about a big aquarium full of water

Maybe not water...
But if an acrylic tank is used than clear nineral oil or glycerin will offer an almost identical refraction index - meanin you won't see what is plastic and what is liquid.
Casting such a big block only works in sections and with good timing but noone would dare to waste so much resin on a cube....

those options would save money. This will get it down to maybe 5,000 bucks.

Such a block would weigh about 2.5 tons.

That's going to be expensive. Read online, make sure to choose the correct kind, and don't let it overheat.
