And if you are not subscribed to the newsletter can you still be featured in it?
And the last one, if one of the moderators put your 'ible in a newsletter how can you tell if you are in it or not?

Yes - search the guide section for them.

Your view count spikes for no obvious reason. I've been in it a couple of times, each time makes my count shoot up by a few thousand per day for about half a week.

The site as a whole is the archive.
You are featured if an admin thinks your project is interesting enough to be featured.
You will receive an email that you have been featured and will be awarded a code for pro membership.
