Is there an easy way to translate Instructables into English. Some people are posting Instructables in Spanish.? Answered

There are a number of websites that will translate other websites (or other text) for you. I still occasionally use one of the oldest of those, Babelfish; a websearch will find it. There are others.

None of them are perfect -- it's something of a minor miracle they work at all, reflecting a lot of relatively recent research into natural language processing -- but they will usually produce something that is close enough to correct that you can understand what the other person was trying to say.

(For those writing in Spanish, or other languages: I suggest you include a Babelfish translation to English when you ask your question. This will improve your chances of getting an answer. I agree that it isn't fair, but there are more people who understand English than Spanish, especially on the Web.)

Via Babelfish:

This seems to be really good! I think I will try this. The only thing I would worry about is whether or not this is legal translation. I know that there have been known to be issues with changing things from their official language. But, it seems like if the material isn't copyrighted then there shouldn't be a problem.

Both of these answers are good, BUT, none of them are really fast...

You could, if you have firefox, install gTranslate: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/918/

That uses googles translate feature, but you need to select the text and select translate

A better option would be to get google chrome, and get: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/aapbdbdomjkkjkaonfhkkikfgjllcleb

This allows you to click on a button in the address bar and it translates everything on the page to english or whatever language is your choice, and if you right click -> options, you can select "Automatically translate the web pages in the following languages and URL's" and it will automatically change everything that it can read into a language of ur choice :D

The best way that I know of is to use Google translate.
Type the words "google translate" into the google search box. You will be taken to the translate page, there paste in the URL of the page you want to translate. Follow the link to the translated page.
Here is one in Spanish you can try it out on:
