Is there any danger in using two different sine-wave inverters (UPS) to provide backup power for my computers? Answered

I'm concerned that having two UPS units in close proximity could be the same as having two out of phase mains supplies and the potential for a rather nasty shock.  Or, are my fears misguided? Thanks.

Yes, technically, unless they are phase locked, you MIGHT, if the gfrounding was very very faulty, and you were messing around inside live units simultaneously.

AS long as you don't try powering the same computer from two different supplies there is no problem. I've seen 20-30 mounted in a rack in a computer room before.
