Only if it's an American kitteh. The Greeks pronounce it "mi".

Modern. At least, that's what my Greek language teacher taught me when I took it for a term:

alpha, beeta, ghamma, thelta, ehpsilon, zeeta, eetha, theeta, yota, kappa, lambda, mee, nee, ksee, ohmicron, pee, row, sigma, taff, ipsilon, fee, kee, psee, omega

I've since fallen back to using the "typical" Americanized pronunciations.

Ahem, it is known how somethings changed in pronuciation over the years. So we may know how the ancient Greeks pronounced it, especially if there is an ancient one still around :-P
