LED Light Strips to light Art Booth? Answered
I would like to create lighting for my art booth using LED lighting strips. I have already worked with these and really like them, but never in the size I would need to light my booth. Everything I have done, was powered but 8 AA batteries.
Example of a lite booth, with conventional track lighting.
My idea is to light my 10x10 booth with 3 10' lengths of aluminum angle iron http://assets.overclock.net.s3.amazonaws.com/9/91/913173c2_vbattach89423.jpeg and put two 10' strips on each of the 2 inner surfaces (inside the L shape). So I would have a total of 60' of LED strips. I need to illuminate 3 of the 4 walls.
My first question, would this be too bright? If so, would a single row on each piece of angle iron do the job?
Second question is connecting it together and powering it. My only option is to run it off batteries, because not all events have easy access to power and the ones that do, charge a hefty fee.
I need something light weight to carry, I don't want to go with a car battery, but feel with this many lights, I might have to. Considering they need to be run for at least 8 hours. But, I really want each 10' section to be self powered and contained. So that I can hang it from inside the tent and not have to run wires all over the place to power the 3 sections. In a perfect world, each one would self powered with a single battery box attached to it at one end and at the other would be a short wires to connect the top and bottom strip inside the V grove to make it all one piece. Making it a 20' length in one 10' section.
Anyways, it's late and I think I am starting to ramble. Any help is greatly appreciated.
