LED help!!
hello, forgive me if this is not the right blog to post i was just not sure where to ask.
i have a 5w led that came off a flash light i would like to either do my on flash light or install it in my house as a light, how can i do that and what do i need to power it, the only thing i know about the flash light is that is a 5 watt. also i dont know much about leds so if you guys can help that will be really cool. thanks

If it came from a flashlight, just connect it to a similar set of batteries.
(A switch and a case might be useful as well.)

dont know what batteries it had just have the bulb thats the problem, i dont know how much do i need to power a bulb like that

Do not post multiple topics for the same things, it's pointless and clogs up the forums.
A 5W LED will likely need a heatsink, on top of that it'll need a power source. Depending on it's forward voltage and current limitations. Any info about the original flash light would be handy - batteries it took and any additional circuitry.
