Hello,
I'm exactly in the same purpose than you 2 years ago.. Did u=you found a solution ?!
This internal laptop mic seems to be as usb as the camera just close to it !!
It's known for cameras, but I don' t find nothingvaluable for mics !!
But, there's a PCB with integrated "things" and this mic is finally plugged to a 4 wires cable that used to go to the motherboard...
So, there must be a ground, a positive, and two wires for data or for kind of analog conexion ?!!

Are you asking => to take the microphone out of the laptop and then join it to a USB device ?

When you have the USB microphone ready what do you want to do with the signal ?

Perhaps convert it to a USB speaker ?

But How Many other Things are you going to spring up, after the fact, That should be in the original Question..

The Pi s going to be more expensive, however it has a mike_input and USB on board..

All you need is a program that streams the built in mike_input as digital amplitude with continuous data packets updated every 100us into the built in USB..
